What this site is

btcturk.ist is an independent informational project about BtcTurk, Turkey’s first cryptocurrency exchange, and the wider ecosystem around it: its mobile apps, its Pro trading mode, its fee schedule, its security record and the Turkish regulatory framework it operates under. We write the pages we wished existed when we first tried to answer simple questions like “what will this trade actually cost me?” or “what happens to my coins if the exchange gets hacked?”

Our editorial approach is that of an independent auditor, not a fan page. We read official fee tables, regulatory communiqués and post-mortems of security incidents, then translate them into plain language in Turkish, English and German. Where BtcTurk deserves credit, we say so. Where the costs hide in a spread or a network fee, we say that louder.

Important

This is not the official BtcTurk website. We have no legal, commercial or personal affiliation with BtcTurk Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu A.Ş., btcturk.com or kripto.btcturk.com. All trademarks belong to their owners. For account operations, support and binding information, always use the official site.

Where our data comes from

  • Official sources first. Fee rates, product features and security claims are taken from btcturk.com and kripto.btcturk.com, and each page states the date we last checked them.
  • Regulators and law. For licensing questions we rely on the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (SPK) publications, Law No. 7518 and Communiqués III-35/B.1 and III-35/B.2.
  • Independent trackers. Listing counts and volume context come from public aggregators such as CoinGecko, clearly attributed.
  • Security research. Our coverage of the June 2024 hot-wallet incident draws on published analyses by independent security researchers.

Rates and features change. If you spot something outdated, tell us at info@btcturk.ist and we will fix it.

How we make money

Some buttons and banners on this site link to a third-party global trading platform. These are promotional links marked with rel="nofollow sponsored", and they may earn us a commission at no cost to you. They never change our findings: the fee tables, the audit of the 2024 incident and the criticism of hidden spreads stay the same whether you click them or not. We do not accept payment from BtcTurk (we have no relationship with them at all), and we do not sell placements inside editorial text.

What we will never do

  • Pretend to be an official exchange website or intercept logins — we never ask for your credentials, and no page here has a login form.
  • Give investment advice or price predictions. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose your entire principal.
  • Publish “current prices” that are actually stale. Live market data belongs on the official platform, not on a guide.

Questions, corrections, partnership notes: info@btcturk.ist or the contact page. Our legal terms live on the Terms of Use page. If you want to start with the content, the main guide is the best entry point.
